MackBrown-TexasFootball.com - The official website for Longhorn football. Great for game times, box scores and photo galleries, staff & player bios, and much more. This is also the place to go if you want to find out how bad the Horns beat the Aggies back in 1894. (It was 38-0 by the way) Forum Based Information Websites
HornFans.com - Not a great place to get current news on the Horns. However they have the most active message board around if you can deal with the slow servers. InsideTexas.com - Subscription based website containing Longhorn sports and recruiting
news, and message boards. Part of the Scout.com network. LonghornNation.com - Kind of a MySpace meets Facebook meets Rivals message board for
Texas fans. This is a well thought out website with lots of functionality. OrangeBloods.com - Subscription based site containing Longhorn sports and recruiting
news, and message boards. Part of the Rivals.com network. Their
"Inside the 40 Acres" board is the best place around for
insider info. Media Websites
Austin American Statesman Longhorns Section - Very good coverage of Longhorn sports as you would expect from the hometown newspaper. - Registration required to view articles. Daily Texan - The Daily Texan is the school newspaper for the University of Texas. Their coverage of the Longhorns is not comprehensive at all, and if you want up-to-date news this is not the place for you. Dallas Morning New Longhorns Section - Another great link. The best sports writers in Texas are found here, no one covers Texas Longhorn football like Chip Brown. - Registration required to view articles. Houston Chronicle Longhorns Section - Surprisingly, mediocre is the word that comes to mind here. Still, for those of us who can't get enough articles during the season this is a required stop. No registration requirement is a plus however. KEYETV.com Longhorn Football - Pretty much standard fare on the news front, I doubt you'll find breaking news here before anyone else. But the strength of this site is in the video clips and slide shows they have to offer. San Antonio Express News Big XII Section - This site has been included despite the absence of a dedicated Horns section (what are they thinking?) because of the regular, and halfway decent, "Longhorns Insider" articles. 40 Acre Sports - A cool blog that features "The box score of the day" where they show an old box score and talk a little about the game. A good site for reminiscing about Horn victories gone by. Barking Carnival - This blog (really a categorized collection of blogs) is one of my new favorites. The commentary is right on the money and incredibly funny. They say the things the bigger sites won't, the truth is spoken here. Bevo Sports - This is a great link. It's a joint project from two Texas grads and fans who are crazy about Longhorn athletics. Lots of news and good commentary. Burnt Orange Nation - A very comprehensive and well written blog dedicated to Texas Longhorn athletics. This is the best Texas sports blog you're going to find. FanBlogs.com Texas Page - FanBlogs.com is a college football weblog covering all the latest news and notes from the top conferences. They have blogs for all the major teams including this one for the Longhorns. Longhorns Illustrated Blog - This is an awesome photo site. It's like a pictorial history of Longhorn football since April of 1999. Great job Brook. MeanHorn Texas Blog - What the Longhorns Illustrated blog is for photos, MeanHorn is for video. This is a frequently updated and extensive blog that became one of my favorites the first time I saw it. Other Great Sites
Dave Campbell's Texas Football - While this website does not have a dedicated Texas Longhorns section, I'm going to make an exception and include it here. There's just too much good information about Texas football here, including information about the Longhorns. JCDenton40.com - This is a site run by Longhorn fan JC Denton. All I can tell you about him is that he makes awesome Longhorn football related highlight videos and puts them on his site for free. His site is the best place on the web for downloading Longhorn videos. Thank you JC Denton, whoever you are. UTexas Clan Longhorn Video Archive - I'm still not sure who the UTexas clan is or what their site is all about, their main site appears to be inactive. But this is an impressive little collection of videos. Wikipedia page for the 2005 squad - This is an awesome page that covers all the bases when it comes to the greatest season in Texas football history. It covers the lead up to the season, has games notes for every opponent, lists all of the team records and accomplishments, and more. aTm Aggies - The official website for Texas A&M Aggies football. The Battalion Sports Page - This is the sports page for the Texas A&M University school newspaper. The Bryan-College Station Eaqle's AggieSports.com Football Page - This is the football news page of an Aggie sports site run by the local newspaper in College Station. Maroon & White Report - An independent newsletter specializing in coverage of Texas A&M athletics. Published 25 times a year.- Subscription required. TexAgs.com - Independent website dedicated to Texas A&M sports. AggieYell.com - Subscription based website containing Texas A&M Aggies sports

College Football History - The history and traditions of any D-1 school in the nation is only one click away on this simple little website. CollegeFootballNews.com - One of the most comprehensive sites around, and one of the few that is soley dedicated to college football. Content is updated frequently with lots of great features, even in the offseason. College Football Ranking Comparison - We like this site because it's interesting to look at all of the computer rankings side-by-side on the same page. All 95 of them! CollegeFootballResource.com - Excellent college football blog with a links section that is hard to beat. Just an unbelievable number of links to college football websites and blogs. Every Day Should Be Saturday - This blog run by a Florida fan is absolutely hilarious. Check out their bit on university commericals, their take on the "We're Texas" ad campaign is funny. Football Fanatics Longhorn Store - Great place to buy Longhorn gear, it really is. And I get a 10% cut of anything you buy there. Query Historical College Football Results - This site is awesome! Check head-to-head historical records of any two teams, winning percentage against all conferences of any team, aggregate Winning percentage against all conferences of a group of teams, and more. Loads of fun. |
